People Magazine is marking a first with its 30th anniversary “Beautiful Issue.”
The magazine has tapped Goldie Hawn, her daughter Kate Hudson and her granddaughter Rani Rose for the cover of the issue, marking the first time the three generations appear on a magazine cover together. This is also the first time People has featured three generations of a family on the special issue’s cover.
“The palpable joy of seeing this trio together made them the perfect choice for the 30th anniversary of our ‘Beautiful Issue,’” said People editor in chief Dan Wakeford. “These women illustrate what is important to us right now: positivity, kindness, laughter and family.”
The cover was photographed in early February in Los Angeles prior to the escalation of the coronavirus outbreak. The family has since begun separately self-isolating, with Hawn quarantining with her longtime partner Kurt Russell and Hudson with her boyfriend Danny Fujikawa and her sons Ryder and Bing in Los Angeles.
In the issue, Hawn and Hudson talk about parenting, relationships and their close bond.
“My mom gave me the floor to be able to feel confident enough to go out and feel like my life could be my own,” Hudson said in the issue. “Mom was my

Lululemon Athletica has issued an apology for the “Bat Fried Rice” T-shirt and is working to distance itself from former art director Trevor Fleming, who helped promote the shirt on social media.
The mess started over the weekend when Fleming shared a link advertising the shirt — which features a flying Chinese take out box with bat wings and the words “No Thank You” on the box and its sleeves, along with an image of chopsticks and bat wings — on his personal Instagram. The shirt, called “bat fried rice,” priced at $60, was created by California-based artist Jess Sluder.
But the shirt — and Fleming’s willingness to share details on where to buy it — quickly caused a stir on social media. The backlash included critics accusing Lululemon of racism and using hashtags like #BoycottLululemon and #LululemonInsultsChina on Instagram and the Chinese platform Weibo.

Critics on social media slammed both Lululemon and artist Jess Sluder, who created the shirt and uses the Instagram handle @deadringer, of xenophobia.

The Canadian athletic-apparel retailer was quick to point out the T-shirt is not a Lululemon product and that Fleming was no longer a member of the Lululemon team. The retailer also immediately issued an apology.

LONDON — Zhou Dongyu, an acclaimed young actress, is the new face of Victoria’s Secret in China.
Having won recognition at events such as the Asian Film Awards, Hong Kong Film Awards and Taiwan’s Golden Horse Awards almost every year since her debut in Zhang Yimou’s film “Under the Hawthorn Tree” at age 19, Zhou is considered the leading serious actress of her generation. She is also known for her girl-next-door appeal, and stylish fashion looks on the red carpets.
Her slender figure is not what people would usually associate with the word sexy, but Zhou, who is also the face of Burberry in China, begs to differ.
“In my definition, being sexy is a comfortable and nonconforming natural state,” the actress said. “When I first entered the business, everyone felt that I was inconspicuous. I also felt very sad at that time, yes, but then slowly I proved myself through my own efforts, living hard every day, studying hard, loving myself. Slowly I feel that I really feel sexy from the inside out.”
