Ellen DeGeneres is ready to launch her beauty brand.
DeGeneres revealed the skin care brand, called Kind Science, on her talk show on Oct. 5, stating the brand will focus on age positivity while offering products that are “kind to animals, kind to skin, kind to the planet and kind to your wallet.” The brand is three years in the making.
Launching today, Kind Science offers seven products, including a cleanser, micro exfoliant, firming serum, hydration cream, eye cream, neck treatment and radiance oil. The products are blended with ingredients meant to be gentle on the skin, such as the cleanser that’s made with Kakadu plum, chamomile and Boswellia serrata, and the micro exfoliant that’s made with a fruit acid blend, volcanic sand and bamboo silk to brighten, polish and soften the skin.
The Kind Science firming serum includes plant-based ingredients that are said to support collagen growth and provide the same benefits as a retinol without irritating the skin.
DeGeneres’ beauty brand comes as the talk show host is ending the 19-season run of her talk show, “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” announcing in May that this would be her last season. The announcement came after DeGeneres came under fire with accusations of workplace

“Musically and lyrically, ‘Red’ resembled a heartbroken person,” she wrote. “It was all over the place, a fractured mosaic of feelings that somehow all fit together in the end. Happy, free, confused, lonely, devastated, euphoric, wild, and tortured by memories past. Like trying on pieces of a new life, I went into the studio and experimented with different sounds and collaborators. And I’m not sure if it was pouring my thoughts into this album, hearing thousands of your voices sing the lyrics

Some of Hollywood’s biggest stars came together Tuesday night at Elle’s 2021 Women in Hollywood event.
The magazine’s 27th annual event, which was canceled last year because of the pandemic, honored the likes of Angelina Jolie, Halle Berry, Gemma Chan, Jodie Comer, Gal Gadot, Salma Hayek, Jennifer Hudson, Rita Moreno and Lauren Ridloff. In addition to the honorees including Gadot, Berry, Hudson and Moreno, the event brought out stars like Addison Rae, Demi Moore, Lena Waithe, Mj Rodriguez, Hailey Bieber and Ciara, among others.
The event’s red carpet had no shortage of high-fashion moments, with many looking to elegant black looks. Rae, who recently starred in Netflix’s “He’s All That,” made an impact wearing a cutout black Brandon Maxwell dress with a thigh-high slit from the designer’s spring 2021 ready-to-wear collection. Moore also went with a simple black dress, wearing a look from Schiaparelli’s spring 2021 rtw collection that was embellished with a gold chain band.

Ctzn Cosmetics saw a huge surge of interest in the brand Monday night due to a TikTok video that made its website crash.
The beauty brand’s website crashed after a viral TikTok from beauty influencer Mikayla Nogueira, who posted a video where she reviews the Ctzn Cosmetics line of nude lipsticks. The video is a stitch of fellow beauty influencer Erin Dugan Jurchak’s original video raving about the products, which she refers to as the “perfect nude lip combo for every skin tone.”
Nogueira stitches the video to show herself trying her own nude lip combo, explaining that the Ctzn Cosmetics’ website has a quiz where you input your skin tone and eye color, as well as your color preferences, like a deep nude or light nude color. The quiz then notifies the customer on which shade lip liner and lipstick they should purchase.
