“Sex and the City” reboot “And Just Like That” debuted on HBO Max on Thursday, bringing back the high-fashion factor that the series was known for.
HBO Max dropped the first two episodes of the reboot today, with series regulars Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbes and Charlotte York — played by Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis, respectively — both referencing their much revered styles, while also playing with more modern pieces. The reboot follows the three women, plus a mix of new and returning characters, as they navigate friendship, family and their love lives in their 50s.
“What we brought in new was just updating it. Making it more modern. Working with new designers, new young designers, internationally,” said Danny Santiago, one of the reboot’s costume designers, in an interview with WWD. “Because of Instagram, we were able to find all these new people that we could bring in. But again, sticking to what the girls had already as far as their types of looks.”
Unequivocally the show’s most watched style icon, Parker’s Bradshaw returned to her over-the-top, lavish wardrobe for the reboot, wearing an array of headpieces, sky-high heels and designer handbags. In the first episode’s opening scene, Bradshaw joins
The return to the in-person red carpet and early Aughts nostalgia proved to be influential in determining the top trending celebrity style stars this year.
Google’s Year in Search data showed the 10 celebrities with the top trending style of 2021. Perhaps surprisingly, the top ranking went to actor Adam Sandler, who has become a style star in his own right this year thanks to Gen Z’s inclination toward fashion trends of the early 2000s.
Sandler’s style has resonated with the masses for its casual nature. The actor has become known for wearing baggy clothes in styles like polo shirts, oversize T-shirts, basketball shorts, loose-fitting jeans and sneakers.

Also in the vein of nostalgia, Google’s second top trending celebrity style star of 2021 is Britney Spears, whose been top of mind in the cultural lexicon this year due to her conservatorship battle against her father, Jamie Spears, which recently came to an end in her favor. Spears’ style was heavily influential on the year’s most popular Halloween costumes, which took inspiration from many of her iconic music videos and awards show looks from the early Aughts.
Aside from nostalgia, the year’s return to the in-real-life red carpet also proved to be influential on
Here comes Lisa.
The rapper, born Lalisa Manobal, made her runway debut walking in Celine’s summer 2022 show held in Nice, France. The event was available via livestream on the brand’s official website, with additional coverage on Instagram, Twitter and YouTube.
During the show, Lisa walked on an observatory overlooking the city and the ocean in a grey hoodie under a green varsity jacket emblazoned with the words “Celine Paris” on the back. She paired the look with a white crop top, dark-wash denim jeans and white sneakers, sunglasses and a neon yellow bag from the label. She wore her hair short in her signature bob with bangs.
Throughout the film, Lisa was also shown in short, up-close snippets of her face in black and white.
She literally looks like a high class model, there is nothing she can’t do!!

Crocs is embarking on its latest collaboration with a fashion brand.
The footwear brand is teaming with U.K.-based fashion label Kurt Geiger for a two-piece holiday-inspired collection. Both styles are reimagined versions of Crocs’ well-known clog in a glossy black, with one shoe designed with a faux fur trim and the other featuring chunky rainbow-colored crystals.
“We used the pumped-up BEA construction from Crocs and decorated them with some of Kurt Geiger London’s most recognizable iconography, resulting in two unique designs,” reads a statement from the fashion label.
The two styles reflect Kurt Geiger London’s brand ethos by using its signature rainbow design, which is meant to signify “kindness, joy, inclusivity and hope.” The other style’s faux fur trim and eagle head charm are also signatures of Kurt Geiger, with the latter featured on the brand’s classic Kensington bag.
The collaboration is just the latest for Crocs, which regularly teams with fashion brands, celebrities and a wide range of other companies.
Some of Crocs’ biggest collaborations this year include its second collaboration with Balenciaga, which included high-heeled Crocs clogs; a collaboration with Diplo for psychedelic-themed Crocs; a second collaboration with Justin Bieber and his Drew House fashion brand, and a ’90s-inspired collaboration with beauty brand
