Kendall Jenner’s Favorite Summer Basics Will Go on Sale for 72 Hours

When Kendall Jenner posted a photo of herself in a yellow bikini on her Instagram account last week, the image yielded some 6 million likes and 17,000 comments.
Suffice it to say there is enormous interest in whatever Jenner wears, which is why German fashion e-tailer About You tapped the American model for an exclusive capsule collection for summer that includes that very itsy-bitsy, teeny-weeny swimwear style.
The range drops at midnight CET on July 25 for 72 hours only. A second collection is planned for fall 2021.
“She is probably the biggest fashion icon and model there is right now,” enthused Donald Schneider, founder and creative director of Donald Schneider Studio in Berlin, who masterminded the collaboration and campaign for Hamburg-based About You, which operates e-stores in 23 European countries.
“With her 174 million followers, her personality and her fashion style, she is a unique inspiration for the younger generation,” said Schneider, noting that many people tried to source that yellow bikini, even though Jenner didn’t mention it was part of the Kendall for About You collection.
They will know soon enough, with Jenner set to announce the project on her social channels, with About You following up with a countdown campaign featuring videos

“I first met Kate [Moss] in 2014 through [Burberry’s chief creative officer] Riccardo Tisci and was instantly struck by her cheeky humor, authentic and classic beauty — we’ve been friends ever since,” Kardashian West said in a statement. In fact, the duo was recently spotted around Rome, following the Fendi Couture show.
“She is the fashion icon, defining whole generations of culture and style and I am honored to feature her as the new face of Skims this summer,” continued Kardashian West, referring to the model who famously posed in a Calvin Klein underwear campaign while still a teenager.
“Everyone’s wearing Skims,” Moss can be heard saying in the videos, as she models the Cotton and Fits Everybody collections.
“I’ve been a fan of Skims since Day One,” Moss added in a statement. “What Kim is doing with the brand is so fresh and modern, making underwear women actually want and that fits perfectly. I wear it, my daughter wears it — even my mum wears it.”

Phoebe Philo Is Launching Her Own Fashion House

Phoebe Philo is returning to fashion with an independent, namesake house — and with LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton as a minority investor.
The acclaimed British designer told WWD she would create clothing and accessories “rooted in exceptional quality and design,” and would divulge more details about her new brand in January 2022.
WWD broke the news in February 2020 that Philo had started planning a new collection and interviewing designers. According to market sources, she has had a small team working in London since late last year.
One of the most revered — and bankable — designers of her generation, Philo most recently engineered a spectacular brand rejuvenation during a 10-year tenure at Celine, one of about 75 brands controlled by LVMH. Season after season, she minted womanly, modernist clothing and distinctive handbags, accruing an intensely loyal fan base.
“Being in my studio and making once again has been both exciting and incredibly fulfilling,” Philo said in a brief statement. “I am very much looking forward to being back in touch with my audience and people everywhere. To be independent, to govern and experiment on my own terms is hugely significant to me.”
However, she has brought on a powerful silent partner in LVMH.

BTS Will Model Louis Vuitton Men’s Wear in Spin-off Film: EXCLUSIVE

The fall 2021 Louis Vuitton men’s collection by Virgil Abloh has spawned a spin off — and it will be brought to life by South Korean boy band BTS, WWD has learned.
The French luxury brand plans to unveil the collection, which includes 34 new looks and seven from the original range that was unveiled last January, via a film that will debut on its website today at noon CET. The centerpiece of the online reveal will be an appearance by BTS, who signed on as Vuitton ambassadors last April with a promise of “exciting projects” to come.
Each member of the supergroup will wear one look in the film by Korean director Jeon Go-woon.
“The film stages a conversation between space, movement and global connectivity central to our moment in time, and explores the city of Seoul through the lens of diversity,” according to Vuitton, noting that the soundtrack will feature an original score by CIFIKA, Kim Kate and Net Gala.
“Seoul has such a unique energy and BTS embody this vibe completely,” Abloh said. “They add their spin to the collection, make it their own and take it to new heights.”
Abloh, men’s artistic director at Vuitton, initiated an itinerant model of fashion
