For many in the Black community, as well as beyond it, this Black History Month hits a little different — it’s happening in the midst of heightened racial tensions in the United States, catalyzed in 2020 by the unjust killing or George Floyd and the resulting Black Lives Matter protests that spread across the country.
Still, it’s a time for positivity, and Black creatives across the fashion industry are celebrating the community’s manifold contributions.
